Birth and Death Registration:
The Public Health Department, under the municipal corporation, is responsible for registering all births and deaths occurring within its jurisdiction. This essential service includes issuing accurate certificates, making necessary corrections to birth and death records, and facilitating the addition of child names in birth certificates. Maintenance of Urban Primary Health Centers (UPHCs) The Public Health Department of the Municipal Corporation oversees the management and operation of Urban Primary Health Centers (UPHCs). These centers provide essential healthcare services, focusing on maternal and child health, including antenatal care, postnatal care, and pediatric healthcare. Additionally, UPHCs play a critical role in implementing and monitoring immunization programs aimed at preventing infectious diseases, ensuring healthier communities through proactive and comprehensive care.

- As per Veterinary department census, stray dogs are 28350 and pet dogs are 4650 in Guntur Municipal Corporation limits, the total are 33000.
- To sterilize and vaccinate the Stray Dogs in all the Sanitary divisions, a Society by name SNEH ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY has been entrusted for Sterilization as well as Vaccination to the Stray Dogs
- At present Sneh Welfare Society is doing on and average 25 to 30 ABCs per day. We are planning to raise nearly 100 ABCs per day. The stipulated time to complete the entire stray dogs ABC is 13 months
